About Performance Input

NOTE: Performance Input is no longer used but may be displayed on older referrals.

This document provides an overview of Performance Input. If you do not need an overview, skip this page and proceed with requesting a performance input or adding a performance input.

What is Performance Input?

Some referrals may require input from others (e.g., teacher, counselor, principal, etc.) about a student's performance. Performance input can cover a variety of areas, including academic, behavior, cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, hearing, observation, social/family, speech/language and vision. The collective input of the team, as well as other performance information, serve as the basis for defining a student's needs.

You will be required to provide performance input only if you receive a request to do so. Only listed team members who are authorized eCSSS users are asked to provide performance input (i.e., listed contacts, such as family members, do not provide performance input).

Performance Input becomes the basis for the student's Current Performance, which is a key component for all types of referrals.
