The list below describes new functions completed on July 15, 2008.

1. Notifications
When you log into the eCSSS main screen, you may see notifications for upcoming deadlines
or deadlines that have passed. Notifications in red are past due. This is an example:
In the current release, only notifications for Serious Discipline and Student Record Review deadlines will be sent out when appropriate. Notifications for other deadlines within the Student Support Process are being developed. Only authorized individuals will receive the notifications.
2. Student Profile
Display Student Summary – A new function presents the Student Summary in a printable format and allows you to specify information to include in the printout.
Referral Tab – A new tab, Parents/Guardians, allows users to manually change a parent or guardian associated with a Referral.
Event Log Tab – Individuals with proper access rights can now enter records for four new Event Log types. If applicable, these events can be linked to Incident records:
Police Interview
Meeting
Restitution
Temporary Restraining Order
Program Tab – Please note the following changes:
Eligibility Regulation – The Eligibility Regulation field displays the student’s eligibility status. This result is based on requirements outlined in a document in the Help Index titled Data Requirements for 504/IDEA Eligibility.
Reenrolled IDEA Students – A new checkmark is available to document reenrolled IDEA students.
3. Assessment Report
Attachments can now be added to Assessment Reports.
4. IEP Service Dates
When you activate an IEP, eCSSS will check service dates for Special Education & Related Services. Dates that are invalid will be flagged with either of these two messages:
Projected Start Date of services must be on or after IEP Date of the first IEP in the IEP cycle.
Projected End Date of services must be on or before IEP Annual Due Date.
This does not apply to inactive services.
5. Incidents
Several changes have been made to the Incident form, which is accessed from the School Profile screen:
Incident tab – Changes include:
Police Information – New fields allow you to enter the officer’s name, badge number and the police report number.
Investigation Information – The investigation fields formerly on the 19-A/B tab are now on the Incident tab.
19-A/B – The following fields have been added to the 19-A/B tab:
Reasons for the Initiation of Disciplinary Proceedings (19-B)
Summary of Testimony/Other Evidence (19-B)
NOTE ABOUT PRINTING: When the Form 19-A/B is printed, the Summary of Testimony/Other Evidence section will contain:
Information that was entered in the Suspect tab
Information that was entered in the new field, Summary of Testimony/Other Evidence.
Notification Type – A new type, Witness, is now available on the Notifications tab.
