Create Current Performance

The Current Performance screen is used to develop needs statements that will become the basis for the student's plan. (Learn more.)

 

To develop the statements, do the following.

 

  1. Search for a student and select the appropriate Referral.

  2. Highlight DEFINE NEEDS. The Actions menu selections will change. Select New Current Performance from the menu.

  3. The Current Performance window will open.

  4. On the Current Performance tab, enter the Statement Date and select the student's Learning Style. You can select only one, so select the primary learning style.

  5. Review information on the following tabs, which are read-only and cannot be edited:

  6. Go to the Interventions Tried tab to select interventions for the Current Performance. The tab is blank until you select interventions that are relevant to the current referral.

  7. Go back to the Current Performance tab and review the Performance Input as a team. The team may choose to add additional Performance Input items, as appropriate.

  8. The team must collectively select which Performance Input items should be addressed in the plan. To select an item, click Select.

  9. The following text fields become editable, and the team can enter statements:

  10. To add new performance information to the Current Performance record:

    1. Select a Performance Category.

    2. When applicable, select a Performance Attribute.

    3. Identify whether it is a Strength or Challenge.

    4. Click Add Performance.

    5. Two text fields become available - Description of Behavior with Evidence and Need Statement. . Enter statements into the fields as appropriate.

  11. Review the page to ensure that it reflects the consensus of the team.

  12. Click Save then Close.

 

NOTE: For MPs, use caution when deleting the Current Performance. Need statements in the Current Performance are used in Eligibility Determination and subsequently in the MP itself.
