The Events tab (on Page 2 of the Student Profile) functions like a "notepad" where the school can collect information, on an informal basis, about the student. Examples of Events tab entries include notes about the existence or revision of a Behavior Support Plan (BSP) or the date a student returns from an extended trip. This is also where to indicate that a provider will no longer be providing services for the student. The ability to edit Event log entries are limited to those given rights to do so.
To add an Events entry, do the following:
Select the Events tab.
Click on the Add button to add a new event.
Enter Event Date in MMDDYY format. (Tips for entering dates.)
Select an Event Type.
General - Entries identified as General are visible to anyone who has the ability to view the student's Events tab. Users who have only general access will not be able to view Classified Event entries.
Classified - Entries identified as Classified are visible to members of the Student Team only.
Police Interview and Temporary Restraining Order - These two event types are related to Incidents. The fields change according to the type selected. However, both types have the Has Incident checkbox. Use this function to tie the event log to an existing Incident record.
The Author Name defaults to your name (i.e. - the name of the person who is logged in). Another name from the student's team can be selected by clicking on the Import button and selecting a name from the list.
In General Event Description, enter a description of the event or incident.
Click Save & Next to save the log item and proceed to another new one. Otherwise, you may click Save then Close. Your item is displayed in the Event Log List.
To print an Event Log, do the following:
Highlight a log item and click Open.
Place your cursor somewhere in the window that is not in a field or on a function and do a right mouse-click.
Select Print.
