Adding Victim Statements

From the Incident screen, click on the Victims tab to add victim statements to the selected incident.

 

To Add a new Victim Statement:

 

  1. On the Incident tab of the School Profile, open the appropriate incident.

  2. Select the Victims tab.

  3. Click Add to display the Incident Victim window.

  4. Select the Victim Type from a drop-down box. Options are Student or Non-student.

  5. If the Victim Type is a Student, use the LiveSearch to locate the Student Name. When the student name is selected, the Student ID, Gender, Grade, and School will be displayed automatically.

  6. If the Victim Type is a Non-student, select the Non-student Type from the drop-down list and enter the Victim's Name and select the Non-student Type from a drop-down list. Non-students include administrator, adult supervisor, bus driver, counselor, educational assistant, parent, teacher, or other staff.

  7. Select which specific Offenses were committed against the victim. The displayed list of offenses includes all offenses that were added on the Offenses tab for this specific incident.

  8. Type the optional victim statement in the Victim Statement text box. The box scrolls so you can enter additional text to include the full statement.

  9. Type the optional disposition in the Disposition text box. The box scrolls so you can enter additional text to include the full disposition.

  10. Click OK to save the changes.

 

Proceed to enter information on the appropriate tab:

 

 

 

NOTE: The Investigation tab does not display for incidents logged after 6/8/2011. This tab has been moved to the Suspect form.
