Report Formats

Reports can be generated in any of four different formats by selecting the format from the Output Format list.

The formats are:

HTML Page

This option creates a report that is displayed as a Web page. This format works well if the report is to be viewed on-line. A Print button at the top of the report allows you to send a copy of the report to a printer if a hard copy is needed.

Adobe PDF

This option creates the report as an Adobe PDF file. This option works well if the report contents will not be edited, and it needs to be provided in a format that can be saved or sent to other users. These files can be printed, saved as a file, etc.

Excel

This option creates the report in Microsoft Excel format. This format works well if you have to manipulate the date in the report. Save the report instead of opening it. This allows you to work with the data off-line.

CSV

CSV stands for Comma-Separated Values. This format presents information with data separated by commas. Use this format when you want a "clean" export of data that is free of headers and column formatting.
